The Butterfield Business Park covers 45 acres and boasts 80,000sqft of space, all of which has already been snapped up with the likes of media companies, outdoor sports retailers and beauty suppliers relocating to the area from London and surrounding towns. Dio-Met’s involvement required the design, supply and installation of glass staircase balustrades to provide a finishing touch to the luxury office vibes.

The glazed balustrade system used on these commercial staircases was our ever popular Stainless Steel Glass Balustrade System 1 and the design comprises :

• 48mm Tubular baluster posts with proprietary glass clamping system
• 125mm Diameter round base plates with cover roses to conceal fixings on landing
• 42mm Tubular stainless steel handrails and wallrails
• 10mm clear toughened glass infill panels
• All steelwork brushed finish internal grade 304G stainless steel

This balustrade system is our most popular product and is exceptionally versatile with a range of fittings available to cope with almost any scenario- all angled joints are fully welded and polished however to avoid any ‘knuckle’ joints which would otherwise be an unattractive detail often used by inexperienced suppliers.

Using a stainless steel and glass combination within a balustrade is fitting for any modern office environment or indeed domestic application- simplicity and high quality materials are the key to any great balustrade design and the added bonus of this system is that it is also cost-effective when compared to frameless or fully fabricated alternatives.
