Our client Simon requested a quotation for a custom external steel staircase to his property in Harpenden and one designed in with modern styling, complete with stainless steel and glass balustrades. A minimalistic galvanized and powdercoated stair was chosen and the construction briefly comprises :

• Two-flight staircase with mid-landing
• Flat bar stringers with welded tread cleats
• Checkerplate durbar steel treads
• System 1 stainless steel and glass balustrades
• All base metalwork hot dip galvanized and powdercoated Anthracite Grey
• All stainless steel external G316 brushed finish
• 10mm clear toughened glass panels
• Matching framed glass gate, lockable.

Dio-Met completed a full service including site survey, design, manufacture and installation for this external steel staircase and glass balustrade system in a timescale of circa 6-8 weeks.

All our staircase and balustrade systems are designed to be fully building regulation compliant and supplied with a UKCA Declaration of Conformity to BS1090.

Each metal staircase or associated glazed balustrading we provide is designed in house, manufactured in our Sheffield workshops from locally sourced materials and either delivered nationally or installed by our own team. We never use subcontract fitters.

For projects outside of our installation radius (circa 3hours from Sheffield) installation could be completed by any competent builder or tradespersons.
