Our customer Dan first got in touch with us through his landscape gardener with whom we discussed various options for glass balustrade systems in fine detail. It was eventually decided that the design preferred to be installed to the new patio area was our modern glass and stainless steel balustrade.

Once the patio had been completed, we offered a full service of site survey, digital design, in-house manufacture and finally, professional installation. The end result is a fresh, clean and modern looking glass balustrade system that fits in beautifully with the brand new stone built patio to the rear of the property, overlooking the garden.

Integrated into the balustrade design was a dividing section back to the house, complete with stainless steel wire rope assemblies to create a trellis which would in time provide a level of privacy to a secondary patio area.

The whole glass balustrade system was core-drill fixed into the solid stone patio; which is always our preferred method of fixing into rough patio slabs for the best strength of fixing and final visual appearance (levelling posts without packers).

Our stainless steel and glass balustrade (System 1) used on this patio comprised :

• 48mm tubular stainless steel standards (balusters)
• 42mm tubular stainless steel handrails
• 10mm clear toughened safety glass with D-clamp fixing method
• 4mm stainless steel wire ropes with adjustable turnbuckles
• All materials in external marine grade 316G, brushed finish (satin polished)

The balustrade was completed (start to finish) within our usual timeframe of circa 3 weeks and installed over the course of 2 days. This was a lovely little garden project to kick off 2020 and we’re very, very sure there will be plenty more where this came from!
