Modern Entrance Railings with Toughened Glass

Our stainless steel glass infill balustrades and handrails are produced all year round and remain by far our most popular product. This modular style system can be adapted to suit a range of applications by our in house design team and we have recently completed an installation in Sheffield to our customer Martin’s front entrance steps.

The design chosen is known as our ‘System 1 Balustrade’ and comprises brushed finish stainless steel upright posts, handrails and toughened glass infills. The balustrade system uses a range of modular fittings which can be adapted to bespoke designs. Martin’s glass balustrade runs up two flights of stairs and along a top landing area, leading to his front door.

All the glass balustrade to the steps is side mounted to allow maximum usable widths on the stairs whereas the top landing is core-drill fixed for the same reason, as to not encroach on the steps area.

Our team surveyed the steps and designed the handrail system in AutoCAD. All the handrails and posts were fabricated in our Sheffield workshop, the glass was sourced from our Yorkshire suppliers and then all installed by our team of fitters.
