Glass Balustrades in Sheffield

Our first example in this blog is for our customer Roger in Tideswell who wanted to change his old, rotten wooden balustrade so something that would allow a clearer view down into his garden. As a retired gentleman, Roger spends most his days out in the garden but then wanted to retire to the patio area for a cup of tea, and to enjoy a better view of his hard work through a glass balustrade rather than the old slats of timber.

We decided that leaving his upright wooden end posts in place was preferable, as they were integral to supporting the decking system above however all other timber uprights and cross rails were to be removed and replaced with a glass system. Roger had other rails in the garden which were painted black, so we agreed on a galvanized and powdercoated system to match, our System 10 design. 

Our second example was completed in Dronfield for our client Andy, who again wished to replace some old timber slat fencing that was blocking his view of the countryside beyond his patio. Andy removed the old rails and we then installed a stainless steel and glass balustrade system in its place, completely transforming the seating area.

The third completed project is similar to the last, whereby our System 1 glass balustrade is used comprising tubular stainless steel uprights, matching handrail and clear glass inflls. The system is base fixed into a solid brickwork wall and forms edge protection to the patio area for our client Jenny in Fulwood, Sheffield.
