Our customer David in Hereford got in touch with various queries on making a feature of a newly discovered old water well in his new kitchen extension. David provided a few photos and some basic dimensions for a quotation and the rest is history, as he stands proud (or terrified?) on his new glass well cover!

Dio-Met provided the glass well cover to the below specification :

• Drop in style steel support framework
• Galvanized and powdercoated finish metal
• 31.5mm toughened and laminated glass cover
• 50mm black painted borders

The glass well cover was supplied and delivered for installation by David’s on site stonemason who was tidying up the well internals. Installation of our steel framework and glass well covers is a simple task, and the drop in style frames require no physical fixings by taking all support from the surrounding flooring.

All our glass well covers and steel frameworks are designed to be fully building regulation compliant to BS EN 1991-1-1 2002 Actions on Structures and supplied with a UKCA Declaration of Conformity to BS1090.

Each glass well cover we provide is designed in house, manufactured in our Sheffield workshops from locally sourced materials and either made available for collection or delivered nationally. Installation should be simple for any competent persons.
