This glass balustrade system was supplied and installed for our client’s private property in Leicester to form edge protection to a new paved patio area. The balustrade was core-drill and grout fixed into the upstand retaining wall to the rear garden of this domestic property.

The balustrade system installed for this project was our very popular Powdercoated Glass Balustrade System 5 which comprises:

• 40mm squareline upright posts
• Proprietary glass clamping system
• 10mm clear toughened safety glass infill panels
• Steel ribbon rail with profiled iroko timber handrail
• All metalwork galvanized and powdercoated (black in this example)

This glass balustrade system looks great in both modern and traditional settings, the design being softened by the timber handrail used. The paintwork can be powdercoated any colour and either frosted or tinted glass could be used as an alternative, especially if privacy is required on neighbouring elevations. If required, the handrail can be stained in a lighter or darker oil as preferred.
