Emelia contacted us for the design, manufacture and installation of a bespoke glazed balustrade system with handrail to her front garden steps to assist with access to the front door and also to provide a safety barrier to the fall in height to the driveway.
We quoted for our galvanized and powdercoated glass balustrade System 10 with clear glass infills and all metalwork finished in semi-gloss black paint. Firstly, we surveyed the area and then designed the glazed balustrade system to suit the steps on AutoCAD- the handrail and glass in this system were cranked to follow the line of the steps and landings to maintain the minimum heights required.
Following customer approval of our drawings, the balustrade system was fabricated in our Sheffield workshops, galvanized, powdercoated and then installed all within the space of 3-4 weeks from order by our own fitting team.
As the balustrade was installed to uneven steps and undulating stonework, we installed with our preferred method by core-drilling the steps and setting the posts in concrete, finishing off with a clean cover rose detail.
Although painted black, we can finish our powdercoated glass balustrade systems in any colour and it is quite a common request to match the handrail colour to windows and doors- black is however a colour that can look great with pretty much any colour theme, or building type, modern or traditional.
