Our client Joe from Wigan approached us for the design, manufacture and installation of a walk-out balcony and glass balustrade to extend his first floor into the rear garden. The balcony runs the whole length of the house and projects circa 1.5metres.

This walk out balcony structure was galvanized and powdercoated black and installed complete with our ever popular side-mounted stainless steel and clear glass balustrade system. Joe opted to choose, source and install his own decking system so the balcony platform was supplied with a base frame only, for Joe to complete at a later date.

Dio-Met offered a full service of site survey, design, manufacture and installation of this walk out balcony system and glass balustrade with only the concrete footing completed by others, in advance of our installation.

In addition to the walk-on balcony, Joe also opted for a minimalist stainless steel wire rope balustrade and handrail to run down his external brick steps into the rear garden from the balcony platform height.

Our balcony systems are CE certified and fully building regulation compliant with the only exception in this case being the wire balustrade (with our customer made fully aware prior to ordering) given that the gaps exceed 100mm in the system and used on a domestic residence- See BS6180.
