We supply our hinged glass trap door system all over the world and installation is simple for any DIY enthusiast, builder or tradesperson alike. Our cellar door system comes fully assembled and ready to go, with installation requiring little more than putting in place, levelling up and screwing in place.
These pictures come from our most recent customer who used the hinged glass floor system to cover the top of his basement stairs. The glass trap door thus acts as a safe-to-walk-on floor covering and one that allows the wine cellar basement to be viewed from above- pretty cool eh?
For basement access such as this example, the hinged glass floor system is designed to hold open on the gas struts to allow access. This example uses our flush fitting lifting rings and is opened and closed with ease on the gas-actuators, on what would otherwise be an exceptionally heavy door to lift.
Our hinged glass cellar floor system uses 25.5mm toughened and laminated safety glazing set within a two fabricated steel trays and is a product of months of design and development. We always strive to improve on our products and offer new product ideas to the market with our latest offering being our new streamlined handle design as can be seen below.
All our hinged glass floors and basement / cellar doors are made to order and generally take around 6-8 weeks to produce. As always, we are committed to sourcing all our materials locally from our awesome Yorkshire suppliers and the goods are fabricated and assembled for dispatch in our Sheffield workshops and dispatched all over the world.
