Wire Rope Balustrade Matlock

We have recently completed the supply of a DIY stainless steel wire rope balustrade kit for our customer Tony in Matlock. The balustrade is side mounted to his external garden steps and patio terrace area and features tubular posts and handrails with wire rope infills.

Tony approached us for a wire balustrade system for his garden staircase and landing area after finding us online via a popular search engine…..

It’s important to note here that Tony was fully advised on his balustrade and that it would not conform to building regulations under BS6180…….but Tony did not need to be compliant, nor did he want to clean a glass system!

Tony was talked through the options and decided to allow us to fully survey his steps and produce a balustrade that he would then install himself as he had reasonable DIY skills. The kit was manufactured to the approved drawings and completed within approximately 3 weeks.

Our stainless steel wire rope design features 4mm tension wires affixed between tubular stainless steel upright posts and a top handrail, all in brushed finish external grade material. All the posts were fully assembled and handrails pre-drilled and tapped in the correct positions to ensure installation was as simple as possible and Tony had it all up in one day.
