Dio-Met Fabrications Ltd is predominantly a steel fabrication company in Sheffield and with most of our products incorporating toughened glass, glass well covers are a very regular product in our production calandar, being shipped all around the country every week.

As with all our products, we remain flexible on manufacture and create a wide range of bespoke variations; some requests become frequent enough to adapt our web listings to offer out to all new customers and our glass well cover has been updated today, options now include :

• Size : From 300mm to 1400mm diameter. For anything larger, or irregular shapes please contact us.
• Steel support framework : The walk-on glass panel can be ordered on it’s own, or with 3 different types of steel support framework- refer to the PDF. The framework is available in different finishes for dry and wet environments.
• Glass Well Thickness : Our glass well covers are available in three thicknesses currently being 25.5mm, 31.5mm and 33mm.
• Glass Border : Glass should be seated onto neoprene rubbers or a silicone bed, this is then hidden by a painted border which is available now in both 50mm or 100mm wide bands. We also offer, but do not usually recommend, a sandblasted border- This is often requested by customers but will not fully hide the area below.
• Condensation Treatments : A ritec clearshield coating is now available and is applied to the underside of the glass panel. A ritec coating will assist condensation run-off but not stop if from forming. For heavy condensation you should treat the root cause by increasing ventilation and air flow into your well.
• Non Slip Treatment : Our chemical non-slip application makes the glass anti-slip in dry conditions. Whilst this treatment will also assist in wet conditions, the glass would still remain a hazard so further precautions should be taken to avoid accidents.
• Production Service : We have included the option for a premium service in order to reduce lead times where time is of the essence. In any event, all our glass well covers are made to order so we cannot perform miracles, however with a few overtime shifts your manufacture time can be reduced if required.
